Music video idea #2

Song choice: "Major 9" by "Cohesion"

Background of song: Musically the song is a high tempoed , upbeat song that is cheerful and 'bouncey'. This is due to the drums and bass parts being very full and varying and having a good chord structure over the top. It is often played by the band at the end of sets as it's a good ending number.

Concept: The video will feature both live performance sections from the members of the band and a narrative focused around an event involving the band members

Cast: the members of 'Cohesion' (Matthew Watchman, Jonathon Hall, Jordan Taggart, David Wright (myself))

Storyboard (Rough): The members of the band are out at [location TBC] having a good time with one another. Then a spontaneous arguement breaks out between two of the members, a heated arguement is exchanged. The band members then leave each other and go do their own thing (this will be each band member doing an activity that is personal to them, and having the shots switching between them). The band will be enjoying doing their own activities at first but will then start to become upset. This is when they will come back together - meeting at the practice room at the same time - and start playing together (play the ending chorus of the song together). I'm hoping this narrative will give a visual metaphor for the band's name "Cohesion". Cohesion stands for: . "The act, process, or condition of cohering: exhibited strong cohesion in the family unit.  So I hope that the plot of the band spliting up, then coming back together, will show coherence.

Locations: The live performance sections will be filmed in the band's practice studio, this will hopefully show a sence of comfort and belonging between the band. Even with the narrative being about splitting up. Then the initial location of the narrative could be set at a bar/club or somewhere simpler like someone's house. The location isn't particularry important to the narrative at this point. For the scenes where the band members are apart, I want this to be shot at locations special to each band member. This will hopefully give a sence of real personality to the scenes.
